ZMP Release Notes [26.02.19]

New in Onboarding Manager: Assign Tasks to Teams! 🚀

You can now assign onboarding tasks to teams—not just individuals! This works for both internal teams (like the Implementation Team) and client-side teams (like the Client IT Team).

đź’ˇ Here's how it works:

  • Assign a task to a team when you don’t yet know the exact person.

  • Anyone on the team can pick it up.

  • Once someone accepts it, the task is assigned to them individually—keeping things flexible and accountable.

This reduces manual reassignments, supports real-world workflows, and keeps onboarding moving even when roles aren’t fully locked in.

Build and Test Faster with New Content Workflow Improvements

This month, we’re introducing several content workflow enhancements designed to help marketers build, update, and test high‑performing content faster—at scale. These updates reduce manual effort, improve visibility, and make it easier to deliver polished, on-brand experiences across campaigns.

  • What’s new in the Visual Editor:

    • Standalone Visual Snippet Editor: Build and edit Visual Snippets in a dedicated tool to save time, reduce workarounds, and maintain consistency across campaigns and templates.

    • Improved placeholder data for dynamic fields: See realistic examples of dynamic user properties as you build, so you can understand how personalized content will render without waiting for a preview step.

    • Vertical Video custom block (9:16): Add full‑width thumbnails for vertical videos to create more engaging, mobile-optimized experiences and give users a clearer context before they click.

  • New Asset Library APIs enable seamless integration with the rest of your marketing stack, helping you to keep assets updated programmatically, reduce duplicate uploads, and maintain brand consistency across tools.

  • Enhanced ZML filtering adds support for created and updated date fields, giving you greater visibility and control when working with resources and recommendations.

Availability: These features will roll out gradually between February 19 and February 25, with access varying by account.

Reduce Data Complexity with Smarter Audience Exports, Easier Uploads, and Automatic Compliance

We’re excited to introduce new enhancements to the Zeta Marketing Platform’s data and integrations layer that give marketers more control over audience activation, simplify complex data workflows, and ensure seamless compliance across channels.

What’s New:

  • More Precise Audience Exports Across Account Hierarchies: Export audiences with greater flexibility by selecting contacts, scoped_contacts, or both—each delivered as separate columns. This makes it easier to activate the right audiences across complex parent and child account hierarchies, supporting more accurate segmentation and downstream personalization.

  • Updated Google Ads Integration for Built‑In Consent Compliance: Our Google Ads connector is now upgraded to API v15, automatically supporting EU consent requirements. Marketers can confidently continue activating Customer Match audiences in the EEA while ensuring consent signals are properly passed—without manual intervention or added operational risk.

  • Faster, Simpler Audience Uploads with JSONL Support: Upload complex contact data (e.g., nested properties) directly through the platform UI using .jsonl files—no FTP setup required. This reduces technical overhead, accelerates time to activation, and makes it easier to work with richer customer profiles.

  • Clearer Import Warnings to Catch Issues Early: An improved data import process provides the file and a clear warning status even when no hard errors occur, helping teams quickly identify potential issues before they impact campaigns.

Availability: These features will become available on February 19.

Introducing In-App Email Collection for Push Campaigns

Marketers no longer need to rely on redirects or external forms to capture email addresses.

You can now embed an optional email input field directly inside in-app push (toaster) messages—allowing users to submit their email without ever leaving the app.

This enables you to capture emails at the exact moment of engagement, creating a smoother user experience while improving profile enrichment and campaign attribution.

What this means for you:

  • Capture high-intent users in real time

  • Reduce drop-offs caused by redirects

  • Build richer user profiles for more precise targeting

Collect better data, drive stronger personalization, and turn engagement into measurable growth—without disrupting the user journey.
