As much as we would like to be able to complete all our work using a single application, doing so is near to impossible. While there are applications that specialize in assisting with specific needs, rather than relying on a single application, we inevitably end up relying on many to complete multiple tasks faster. To that end, application integration allows applications to communicate with each other, enabling business and work processes to be done more effectively and efficiently.
