ZMP Release Notes [26.09.10]

Strengthen Privacy Compliance with Global Tracking Consent Enforcement

Respecting customer consent consistently across markets is increasingly important as privacy requirements evolve. Building on Zeta’s existing support for CNIL consent-based email tracking, the Zeta Marketing Platform will now honor an explicit tracking opt-out regardless of where a recipient is located. When a recipient has explicitly withdrawn tracking consent, email open and click tracking will be suppressed globally, while the stricter consent requirements already applied in CNIL-style regions remain unchanged.

This enhancement helps you:

  • Respect tracking preferences globally: Honor explicit tracking opt-outs consistently across all regions, helping ensure recipient consent is respected wherever campaigns are delivered.

  • Reduce privacy compliance risk: Prevent email tracking from continuing outside CNIL-style regions when a recipient has explicitly withdrawn consent.

  • Maintain stricter regional requirements: Continue suppressing tracking in CNIL-style regions when explicit consent has not been provided, preserving existing consent-handling behavior in those markets.

Gain Greater Control with New Content Workflow Enhancements

The ZMP is introducing new enhancements that give marketers greater visibility and control across content creation and data management. With Snippet Version History, email size estimates, and expanded JSONL resource imports, teams can more easily manage reusable content, identify potential email clipping, and keep resource data up to date.

With these changes, you can:

  • Track and restore snippet changes: View a complete history of edits, compare versions side by side, and restore an earlier version when needed, making it easier to recover from unintended changes to shared content like footers or disclaimers.

  • Identify email clipping risks before launch: See estimated email weight for specific recipients in Experience Builder, Broadcast Campaigns, and Email Templates, with a warning when personalized content exceeds approximately 102KB.

  • Keep resource data up to date at scale: Delete field values across resources through JSONL imports when values are null or empty, making it easier to remove temporary or outdated fields, such as a sale price after a promotion ends, without changing your resource schema.

These enhancements will roll out to accounts between September 10 and September 17.
