Mockups Tool

Summary
The Mockups tool makes it easy to create newsletter and native ad unit mockups, saving your team time and effort. The tool is available to any user with permission to view publisher details. Here’s a short demo for your reference:

Getting Started
You can access the Mockups tool by navigating to Inventory Manager > Mockups in the left-hand menu.
You’ll have two mockup options to choose from:
Newsletter Mockup – Add ad creatives to a newsletter layout
Native Ad Unit – Design a native ad using a blueprint, image, and copy

Mocking Up a Newsletter
Select a Publisher and Newsletter
Use the search bar to find your desired publisher and select the corresponding newsletter.
Alternatively, input the newsletter’s platform ID.
If the newsletter doesn’t load or looks outdated, make sure liveseeds@liveintentseed.com is added to the newsletter’s distribution list.

Add Ads to Ad Slots
Click inside the dotted Ad Slot in the newsletter preview to upload an image from your computer.
Or use the Ad Slot cards on the left to upload creatives or insert a Native Ad Unit.
Each Ad Slot card corresponds to a specific location in the newsletter. Here you can:
Upload an image
Insert a Native Ad using the hyperlink under the image uploader
In addition to uploading from your computer or creating a Native Ad mockup, you can now insert a creative directly from a platform Line Item:
Click Add from Line Item under the Ad Slot card.
If the slot is Hybrid, you’ll first choose whether to insert a Display Creative or a Native Ad Creative.
For Display Creatives, simply select a linked Line Item targeting the newsletter. Eligible creatives that match the Ad Slot dimensions will appear for selection.
For Native Creatives, select a Line Item first. Then, choose a compatible Blueprint to preview and insert the creative using the correct layout and field mapping.
Line items shown are filtered to those targeting the selected newsletter and containing creatives that meet the ad slot requirements. Creatives added via this workflow are for mockup purposes only and do not impact live campaigns.
To check creative specs:
Ad Slot Type is listed in the top-right corner of each card (Display, Native, or Hybrid)
Click Details next to the slot name for format-specific requirements

Export Your Mockup
When your creatives are in place, click Export at the top of the page. After clicking Export, you now have the option to:
Open a full-size image of your newsletter mockup in a new tab
Download the image directly for sharing or record-keeping
Empty Ad Slots will not appear in the final export.

Don’t see your exported newsletter?
If nothing happens when you export your newsletter preview to a new tab, a pop-up blocker may be preventing this action. Check near your browser’s address bar for a notification and be sure to allow pop-ups from the platform to view and download your mockup image.
Mocking Up a Native Ad Unit
Choose a Blueprint
Search for a blueprint by name or use its platform ID.
What’s a Blueprint?
A Native Ad Blueprint is a pre-defined template that determines how your native ad will look—this includes layout, image dimensions, and copy character limits.

Upload an Image
Drag and drop your image into the upload box or click to select from your computer.
Check the dimensions listed above the upload box—your image must match those for the preview to render correctly.
The Preview Panel on the right will automatically update with your selected image and chosen blueprint.

Fill Out Copy Fields
Complete the required fields such as headline, body copy, and call-to-action.
As you type, the Preview Panel reflects your updates in real time—so you can see exactly how your native ad will appear.
Export Your Native Ad
When you’re happy with the design, click Export.
Choose to export:
As an image – Opens a new tab with a full-size image of your native ad mockup.
To a newsletter – Inserts your native ad into a newsletter mockup of your choice.
To a Line Item - Export your completed Native Ad directly to the platform as a full creative and link it to an existing or new campaign Line Item.
When you select Export to Line Item, you’ll be guided through:
Build Your Ad Creative - Confirm your image, copy, click URL, and third-party tracker.
You can also choose to:
Save to the Ad Library only (for later use)
Or immediately link the creative to a Line Item of your choice
Link to Line Item - If selected, choose from existing Line Items or create a new one using the minimum required fields (e.g., campaign, name, status). After exporting, you can finish setup (budget, targeting, flighting) in the Line Item Builder.
This workflow streamlines ad creation, reducing the need to recreate creatives that were already mocked up.
