Event Management
The Event Management page allows you to see all events that exist in your account. You can also add display names, descriptions, and categories to help define the content of your events. Events generated by ZMP will have a display name and description predefined and will be categorized as “ZMP”
Accessing Event Management
Navigate to Settings > Audience > Event Management.
Editing Events
For non-ZMP events, you can assign display names, descriptions, and categories by clicking the event from the list, editing your desired fields, and then pressing “Apply” at the bottom of the panel.
Note that ZMP events cannot be modified.
Mapping Events
If your website is integrated with Zeta’s tag, you can also map URLs to specific events to trigger when a user navigates to the specified URL. You can use static URLs or regular expressions to map your events. To create a mapping,
1. Click on the New Event Mapping button for new events or find the event you’d like to associate another URL to and select it.
2. For new events, add a name and optionally Display Name, Description, and Category; and then click on the Add source button.
3. Input your desired URL or regular expression and press on the Add button.
4. Add more URLs if desired, or click on Apply at the bottom of the panel to save your changes
You can also edit existing mappings by selecting Edit from the specific URL you’d like to change but note that this only applies to new events. Events that have already been processed will not be changed or deleted.
5. Once your changes have been saved, you will see the defined events flowing into your account.
